New Crop: Guatemala Tikal
We have a new coffee: the Guatemala Tikal, a profoundly delicious coffee that is also a testament to the rich coffee culture of Guatemala.
Replacing the Guatemala Monja Blanca, Tikal offers a unique taste profile that has captivated our senses–it brings a new dimension with its lively Honeycrisp acidity, accompanied by hints of chocolate apple tart with maple sugar. Squisito!
Tikal hails from different regions of Guatemala, whose diverse microclimates and altitudes each contribute their unique character to the brew. From the fertile soils and lush landscapes of Antigua, Atitlán, and Huehuetenango, each region adds its signature flavor and serves to illustrate the country's rich coffee heritage.
Andrea Spella describes Tikal as "truly sparkly and will dance on your palate." It's as if a cozy fall afternoon and a burst of sunshine encapsulated in our coffee cup.
Tikal welcomes all brewing methods, such as Melitta, Espresso, Moka pot, Aeropress, Clever Dripper, or siphon pot.
When we sip the Tikal, one can imagine connecting with the hardworking coffee farmers, their traditions, and the many hands that contributed to bringing this coffee to our land. Guatemala's coffee industry plays a vital role in the country's economy, and understanding the conditions and culture behind each bean can deepen our appreciation for this daily ritual.
